Radha Soami Satsang Jhammat
Radha Soami Satsang Jhammat Dera Baba Mastana Ji Maharaj was established in 1988 by Perfect Master Sant Baba Satpal Singh Mastana Ji Maharaj.
The Dera is situated approximately one kilometre from Village Jhammat, near the bank of the Bathinda Canal.
Perfect Master Sant Baba Satpal Singh Mastana Ji Maharaj initially built a small hut at the site where he devoted himself to meditation and spiritual practice. As the Sangat grew, Bhora Sahib was established, followed by a satsang hall where the Sangat could gather for spiritual teachings, meditation and satsang.
Over the years, the Dera developed into a spiritual centre spread over approximately five acres of land. While the physical surroundings have developed considerably since 1988, the purpose of the Dera remains rooted in spirituality, meditation, satsang, sewa and service to humanity.
From Humble Beginnings to the Present Day
Establishment of the Dera
Perfect Master Sant Baba Satpal Singh Mastana Ji Maharaj establishes the Dera near Village Jhammat and begins with a small hut near the bank of the Bathinda Canal, where he devotes himself to meditation and spiritual practice.
Bhora Sahib
As the Dera develops, Mastana Ji Maharaj establishes Bhora Sahib as a place dedicated to meditation and spiritual practice.
Satsang Hall
A satsang hall is established, providing a place for the Sangat to gather for spiritual teachings, meditation and satsang.
Growth of the Sangat
Members of the Sangat from different places visit the Dera to listen to spiritual teachings, attend designated satsangs, practise meditation and participate in sewa.
Appointment of Successor
Before his passing, Perfect Master Sant Baba Satpal Singh Mastana Ji Maharaj appointed Sant Karnail Singh Ji as his successor. Sant (Saint) Karnail Singh Ji assumes responsibility as the present Dera Head and continues the spiritual traditions established by Mastana Ji Maharaj.
Registration of the Society
Radha Soami Satsang Jhammat Dera Baba Mastana Ji Maharaj Society is formally registered for the betterment and welfare of the Sangat and the Dera and to provide an organized framework for supporting its spiritual, social, welfare and sewa activities.
Continuing the Legacy
Under the guidance of Sant (Saint) Karnail Singh Ji, Radha Soami Satsang Jhammat continues the spiritual tradition established by Perfect Master Sant Baba Satpal Singh Mastana Ji Maharaj.
RSSJ Dera Baba Mastana Ji Maharaj Society [Regd.]
Radha Soami Satsang Jhammat Dera Baba Mastana Ji Maharaj Society was formally registered on 16 November 2021.
The Society was established for the betterment and welfare of the Sangat and the Dera. It provides an organized framework for supporting the spiritual, social, welfare and service-oriented activities associated with the Dera.
Its activities include supporting the organization of spiritual gatherings, sewa, welfare initiatives, maintenance and development of the Dera, and other activities undertaken for the benefit of the Sangat.
The Society seeks to preserve and carry forward the spiritual legacy established by Perfect Master Sant Baba Satpal Singh Mastana Ji Maharaj under the guidance of the present Dera Head, Sant (Saint) Karnail Singh Ji.
